【教学目标】
1.能描述自己喜欢的动物。
    2. 能读懂简单的故事,并抓住大意,掌握主要信息以及以下重要句型:
What’s wrong with you?
I can’t find my way home.
Here we are.
It’s very kind of you.
Thank you for your help.
3. 教育学生养成保护动物的习惯
【教学重点】(1)Expressions of time.
(2)Present simple tense
(3)what questions.
【教学难点】(1)Expressions of time.              
(2)Present simple tense
【教学准备】(1)Call the students to prepare for some animal faces.
(2)Write down the favorite animals and their favorite food.
【课型】New lesson  
【教材分析】     
本单元内容主要围绕询问、回答价格,谈论服装,打电话,表达邀请,谈论自己喜欢的事物和动物展开。从第一个话题至第三个话题,内容层层递进,这些话题与学生的生活密切相关、实用性强。本单元语法是对前三个单元的项目进行巩固和复习。主要包括:名词的数、时间的表达方式和一般现在时的用法。
Topic 3We want to go to the zoo. Section C 主要活动是阅读故事“Let me help you”,培养学生阅读理解能力和流利使用帮忙及感谢的口语表达。
主要句型:
Excuse me, what time is it, please?
It’s one o’clock.
What’s the time, please?
It’s time to go home.
See you next time.
What’s wrong with you, Baby Monkey?
I can’t find my way home.
Is this your home?
Here we are.
It’s very kind of you.
Thank you for your help.

设计意图
Task 1: Review(复习关于时间的问答和最喜欢的动物)
看幻灯片图片,说出关于时间的问和答,根据图片说了该做某事。
What’s the time?
What time is it now?
It`s 9:00.
It’s time to…
What`s your favorite animal?
My favorie animal is…
Task 2: Performance (Act out the play in groups).
课前准备一些动物的头饰。然后以小组的方式进行比赛。让学生在教室前表演这个故事情节,模仿出不同角色的声音。奖励表演最好的一至两组。
Task 3: Competition (抢答动物最喜爱的食物)
练习问答动物最喜欢的食物,根据屏幕动物图片的出现,抢先回答,对成功学生进行奖励。
Horses like eating grass.
Elephants` favorite food is banana.

 
【教学过程】
Step 1 Enjoy a song: three blind mice
Review
I.Look at the screen, ask and answer about time according to the pictures.
What’s the time?
What time is it now?
It`s 9:00.
It’s time to…
II.Look at the pictures,ask and answer in pairs.: What`s your faourite animal?
Step 2 Presentation
I. Learn the new words:
Bamboo(竹子)Pandas eat bamboo.
meat(): Tigers eat meat.
baby (婴儿): A baby monkey
wrong(错误的): What`s wrong with you?
way(): on one’s way home (在某人回家的路上)
II.Play the flash 1a. Answer the questions.
III.Let ss read 1a together, finish 1b (TorF)
V. Read 1a in groups, let ss understand the story.
Step 3 Consolidation
Performance
Work in groups of five, practice and act out the story. Compare the performances with each group and choose the best group to praise.
Step 4 Practice
I. Choose the right word to fill in blanks and then check the answers in class.
II. Competition.
Look at the screen and answer as soon as possible.
“Horses like eating grass.” ;“Pandas` favorite food is bamboo.”…
III. Summary.
Sum up the useful expressions and phrases.
Step 5 Project
I.Repeat 1a at home
II. Written work : My favorite animals
III. Workbook :Topic 3 Section C
